Everyone we’ve met along the way told us Charleston is amazing and that we would love it. Well, no one was wrong.

Charleston is my favourite place so far this trip. 2 days just wasn’t long enough so it’s on my return list, that’s for sure.

The city, the architecture, the bars, the restaurants – THE EVERYTHING!! Simply stunning. And the seafood is the BEST!!

We arrived on the afternoon of Thanksgiving. And the city was packed with such a cool vibe about it. Lots of travellers and great weather.

We ended up finding an Irish Pub to watch the Thanksgiving football games in. It was great – live music and football, happy thanksgiving y’all.

The next day we did a little bit of shopping on ‘Black Friday’ – the sales were good. Then we found this awesome restaurant where we sat at the bar and just people watched – mainly the staff in action. It was a crab shack but I can’t remember the name now (feels so long ago). It was the best organised chaos I have ever seen. And great crabs and oysters.

Later we did a tour of the city which was really interesting and the guide was great.

Such a great place and I thoroughly recommend Charleston to all.
