LA Day One

The weather is incredible, hot as and not a cloud in the sky.

The train ride here was good – funny, and relaxing. I met some crazy characters – strange and interesting! Many a small town folk. Saw the ghettos of the mexican border – very third world, Texas seemed to go on forever, watched a beautiful sunset through Arizona and saw many a run down old town – it was great.

Yesterday while I was on Hollywood Boulevard shopping I got locked in the Gap store by LA riot police for half an hour!!! There was a noisy but peaceful protest coming our way! Have no idea what the protest was about as the message wasn’t clear and not one sign said the same thing – I think the protesters were just haters! But the police were out in force so it all felt very safe!

Last night I went to my first ever film premiere!!! It was a little Indie flick written and directed by a couple of Aussies. Sarah (Raels cousin) invited me. It was a great catch up with Sarah and Patty (who I met last year). It was a pretty good movie too with a great scrtipt. Went to the after party for a couple of wines as well, which was also pretty cool. Β I do love LA.

Off to do some more exploring today on yet another beautiful Cali day.

Oh and the pic is us on the red carpet πŸ™‚
