Train from Boston to New York

3 hour train trip to New York is great (through Providence, New Haven, Stamford, Conneticut). The wine is nice, got tunes playing, company is not too bad. I’m sitting opposite this guy that could quite easily double as a cousin of mine (Mum, Dad & Kyles, it’s a double of Glenn!) – I keep waiting for him to crack a classic sarcastic House wisecrack, but he’s giving me nothing but hair twirling, yep hair twirling. Guess he won’t be my train drinking buddy today – I think he’s a little Judgey McJudgey!!!

The views outside the train window are gorgeous – very East Coast. Quaint little fishing villages (Kyles, think of the movie Mystic Pizza :-)). Some houses are massive! It would have been lovely to have driven this stretch but it is nice to be kicking back and watch the East Coast go by. The Fall foliage is as beautiful as they say, with the leaves all turning colour.

The weather is great, sun is shining, not bad considering the VERY dramatic weather reporter on the news this morning was warning of heavy rainfalls. Fingers crossed it doesn’t hit New York.

I should arrive in New York about 5pm (just as you guys are waking up). Off to the Broadway show tonight (at Studio 54) and Heidi (my cousin that lives in Boston), gave me some names of great bars to go to after in and around Times Square which will be good.

p.s. tell the man to stop twirling his hair….a little creepy.
