I’ve just spent the past 3 days exploring the charming neighbourhoods of Nashville. I stayed in the most eclectic BnB in East Nashville – Urban Cowboy, it’s amazing.
The neighbourhood of East Nashville is also quite eclectic with some great spots for shopping, coffee, food and drink. My first stop on Monday morning was to a very cool coffee shop called Barista Parlour – its an old mechanic warehouse that has been turned into a funky coffee shop.
After a quick refuel stop, it was time to explore the neighbourhood. It was great, found some great shops and places to wander. I walked for ages taking photos and taking everything in. So glad I stayed in this great neighbourhood.
Monday night was spent drinking whiskey in the BnB bar and chatting to the staff and the owner.
Tuesday I went to enjoy some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever tried – Mas Tacos. It’s a little shack in the most unassuming street, but so delicious.
After tacos I headed to another neighbourhood, called the Gulch. Shopped and ate again.
Tuesday night I decided to go to City Winery, another cool music venue.

Wednesday off to explore a few more neighbourhoods – Hillsboro, 12 South, Belmont & Vanderbilt (University neighbourhood). More shopping & more eating.
Wednesday night and I was off to the Ryman Auditorium – the mother church of venues. A really old church transformed into the coolest live music venue, EVER!!! After the show I wandered down Honkytonk Highway to catch some more music – Great way to end an amazing few days in a great city.
