Fort Worth, Texas

The minute we crossed the Texan border from Arkansas, you can see the different kind of place that Texas is. Everything just got bigger. The houses, the land, the shops, even the sunset.

We spent two nights and a day exploring Stockyard Square in Fort Worth and it’s a real little gem of a place!

Arrived about 8pm, and as we were checking into the Stockyard Hotel, I enquired if there was still time to get tickets for the rodeo championship that was on that night – the guy gave us 2 free tickets – score! This place was getting better by the minute.

The rodeo was great fun, then it was time to hit up the saloons.

The next night we had the football – Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants at the biggest stadium I’ve EVER seen – HUGE!!! Originally I was going to go for NY Giants, naturally, but they didn’t sell any Giants merchandise at the football, so a Cowboys fan I was – great game!

Next stop Wildcatter Ranch.
