Rockin’ Out in New Orleans

New Orleans was awesome. It’s such a fun and lively city but Halloween weekend is insanely awesome and really freakin’ exhausting!!! So much fun.

Nat (my friend from Perth) had two friends there the same weekend. So she introduced us through Facebook on Friday afternoon. It was great fun and very helpful because I was starting to get little worried about Bourbon Street by myself – it can be very, very intimidating. We met up for dinner then headed up to Bourbon St, watched the Halloween parade – can definitely say I have never seen anything like it before. Bourbon Street is the best for people watching anytime, let alone Halloween when ALL the crazies come out.

Then headed up to Frenchman St, and back again to bourbon, meeting heaps of people along the way and stumbling home at 3am.

Kate and Bec also had plans for the Voodoo Music Festival the next day.

Voodoo Music Fest was great. Got to see all the bands I wanted to see and discovered some very cool new artists that I will look it when I get home.

On Sunday I was by myself again, but on this holiday, I have never been by myself for long. Everyone just starts talking to you, then as soon as they hear the Aussie accent, that’s it, they want you to join their party and stay chatting with them.
